Speranza Food Studio

If you're in Woodbury and need some upscale Italian food, in a Manhattan / Las Vegas setting, look no further than Speranza Food Studio.

Located at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike, steps away from On Parade Diner... Speranza has received excellent reviews in Newsday, and is a sure bet!

The design of the place is pretty crazy too. It's very luxurious - there's even a flat screen TV outside that's right next to the entrance.

If you've ever been, leave a comment on this post with your thoughts...

Crumbs Bake Shop

Check out Crumbs Bake Shop in Woodbury Common for some pretty monster cupcakes. It's in the same shopping area as Moe's and Graffiti.

The cupcakes are HUGE and very unique. They offer flavors like: Cookie Dough, Peanut ButterCup, Red Velvet, White Hot Chocolate, Fudge Chocolate Chip, Oreo and Tiramisu.

A cupcake usually costs around $3.75, which seems pricey - but it's a very, very large portion.

Fro Yo Comes to Woodbury!

Joining Laguna Grill, Buteras, Nisen Sushi and Max & Ginos in the Woodbury Village shopping centre, is a new frozen yogurt cafe!

It appears to be a cross between TCBY and Red Mango... While there's not an exact opening date yet, a menu is already posted in the window (which is a few doors down from Laguna)

Check it out!

Ivarone Brothers Woodbury

One of the best new places to come to Woodbury is Ivarone Brothers.

It's in Woodbury Village, located directly next to Laguna Grille.

This gourmet Italian market has everything! A full deli counter, amazing hot prepared food, fresh fruit, Italian desserts, etc.

Ivarone Brothers is fairly unique for Long Island, and more of a place you'd expect to see in the city. It's pretty reasonably priced too.

The iPad at Syosset High School?

With all the innovative technology (like SmartBoards) Syosset is playing with, how about the iPad?

If you haven't heard by now, the iPad is Apple's cross between an iPhone and Macbook. See more here... www.apple.com/ipad

It can be a revolutionary way for students to store all their textbooks, take notes and complete assignments.

While I doubt SHS is going to ever take out their wallet to buy everyone an iPad, will kids start bringing them to school? Maybe Syosset will buy a few for use around the building?
